Overview - Spitfire Espresso is located in the City Centre of Glasgow near Merchant City. Spitfire Espresso has been an independent coffee shop since 2014. They serve all types of coffee along with a substantial breakfast/ lunch menu. 

If you find yourself looking for an independent coffee shop in the Merchant City, then Spitfire Espresso is an excellent choice, especially if you own a pet, as they are dog friendly. They have a particular focus on coffee, especially since they are their own roaster. Their exclusive coffee blend right now is their Gunnerbean blend, which is a blend of Brazilian and Colombian beans that are meant to bring out the nutty and chocolaty notes of the coffee. Their other blend, B:52, is a straight Brazilian blend, with heavier notes of caramel, toffee and hazelnut, whilst their Burundi blend offers fruiter notes of plum and cherry. Therefore, there is something to meet everyone's tastebuds, and also a decaf option if caffeine isn't for you. Unlike most other coffee shops, Spitfire Espresso offers more speciality coffee, such as Macchiatos, Piccolo's and Cortado's, however, due to their stronger focus on coffee, they don't offer fun options such as pumpkin spiced lattes.

Furthermore,  Spitfire Espresso offers a varied selection of breakfast and lunch items, such as their popular breakfast burrito which includes eggs, cheese and salsa. However, if you are looking for something more filling, they also offer a full Scottish Breakfast pictured to the right. Although, if the savoury option is not for you, the coffee shop also offers lighter options and sweet treats that are actually baked fresh in-house by their bakers. 
 

Additionally, in Spitfire Espresso you can purchase their own beans used in-store to get the same taste. In terms of pricing, for the quality and variety of options you can receive at Willow Grove, it is definitely worth it.
